On New Years Day, Andrew and I went to the Highway 21 Drive-In in Beaufort, SC. This is one of my absolute favorite places in the world! (maybe this makes me incredibly lame?) On the way there, I was explaining the idea of the "99 in 999" and I was reading my list to him. When I got to #51, he said "Well, we're doing that tonight." I was so excited to get to cross something off my list on the very first day!
We saw Little Fockers and Tron on the main screen and it was so much fun, as usual. If you ever get the opportunity to go to there you should definitely take advantage of it. The environment is awesome. They have a playground for kids to run around on before the movies start...and I say movies, plural, because there's always a double feature! I don't think you can beat that for only $6 per ticket! Andrew says that the price of gas to get there makes the price quite a bit higher, but I explained to him that the gas is negligible because it doesn't actually influence your movie watching experience. That makes sense, right?
What a fun night and great start to crossing off my list!

A New Year and a New Beginning
Those of you who know me best know that 2010 was a strange and very difficult year for me. I struggled through an unfair situation but I can honestly say I came through it a stronger and better person. I know that everything happens for a reason and that God helped me through every step of the process of overcoming my difficulties. I even learned a thing or two!
Since graduating in December, I have been looking forward to a new year and a new start, and the idea for this list (which I stole from an good friend) seems like a great way to do this! I'm looking forward to some very exciting changes and adventures in the next 999 days. To steal Katie's closing line, "Wish me luck, and feel free to join me with a list of your own!"
